Cuttlefish bone casting is an unusual and ancient technique, which dates back to ancient Sumerian society. This primitive method of casting produces distinctively intricate "fossilized" textures. On the reverse side of each piece is an exquisite imprint of the bone's natural pattern. This technique was the gatway process that prompted stacy to begin casting and transforming natural forms into jewelry.
As this technique captures the essence of fossil forms, stacy created this collection as a tribute to the pioneer life forms which inhabited our planet prior to human existence. Having survived through the earth’s extreme conditions, Past life forms and fossils reflect the intensity of life's first expression and represent the platform from which we evolved.
